Inle Lake in Myanmar is well known for a traditional form of fishing practised by the Intha fishermen. You might have seen those iconic shots — sleek silhouettes of fishermen balancing on a narrow boat against the rising sun. When photographing the area in January 2018, I took a cycling trip around the lake, catching glimpses of everyday life in villages based around smaller inlets of the lake. This is one of them: I sat on a jetty to enjoy the peaceful surroundings and captured this moment.
All prints are custom made, so I can’t accept returns.
