In February of 2020 I was touring the lush green hills of Colombia’s Zona Cafetera for a photo story on the coffee growing region (little did I know that this was going to be my last faraway trip for another two years). A hike in the Cocora Valley, part of Los Nevados National Park, is one of the most iconic experiences in Colombia’s Zona Cafetera. Starting from a quirky, colourful town of Salento, the fun loop among green meadows dotted with wax palms offers some remarkable views. The tall, sleek palms are impressive on their own, but I waited around for a pair of hikers to enter my frame for a sense of scale. It didn't hurt that they were picturesquely wearing traditional paisa hats.
All prints are custom made, so I can’t accept returns.
